A few notes about food allergies and dietary requirements
Gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo… just because you have a special dietary requirement, it doesn't mean you should miss out on delicious food!
To make life a little bit easier, you can quickly search for suitable recipes with our Dietary filter, which you'll find under Advanced filters in search results.

We'll always do our best to make sure there are no obvious sources of allergens or ingredients not suitable for your selected diet, but please be aware that sometimes allergens and their derivatives are sneaky and can appear in foods when you least suspect it!
If you do have a food allergy or special dietary requirement, always check every ingredient on the label. Please take particular care with stocks, sauces and processed foods, as well as imported (and even Aussie) goods that might list ingredients under different names or codes.
Please also note that products suggested by our Shopping Tools may not be suitable for your diet, so again, please check the label (we can't stress this enough!).
If an ingredient is widely available in an allergy-friendly version (e.g. gluten-free soy sauce or stocks) we will tag them as diet-suitable, so one more time (say it with us) always check the label. Occasionally, we may include recipes that have optional serving suggestions which aren't diet-friendly (e.g. dairy-free nachos that are served with sour cream). We're big believers in common sense, and since you're clever enough to use the internet, we trust that you'll know not to eat the cream if you're allergic to dairy. No nanny state here!
