This is a great sweet sauce to have stored in the fridge, as it lasts up to 6 weeks and is perfect for impromptu desserts like ice-cream with caramel sauce…
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup golden syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Combine all ingredients in a pan and stir over heat until sugar has dissolved. Boil for 5 minutes or until slightly reduced and a rich brown colour.
A useful make-ahead sauce, this keeps for about a week in the fridge.
